I agree that children should be able to see their faces reflected in the literature they read and the shows that they watch on T.V. When it comes to adoption specific literature, there are some books that perpetuate very negative ideas that could be harmful to adopted children. I have some reviews of books for adopted children on my blog: http://redthreadbroken.wordpress.com/category/childrens-books-reviews/

I completely agree! As a family formed through adoption, we are very aware of the few great children's books about adoption as well as the many not-so-great books that are out there. Thank you for bringing this up and for sharing your link!
